On a trail lined with white limestone peaks, the tinkling of sheep bells and the smell of resin from the sun-warmed knees, it's hard to focus solely on where one is treading. What's going on underfoot, however, is well taken care of by the lightweight Asolo Falcon. The woven upper is breathable and the boots adapt to the feet like soft textile shoes. The outer fabric will last a while. Thanks to the Gore-Tex® membrane, even the torrents of water from a summer storm. Then, when wet rocks and mud get underfoot, the Vibram® outsole gives you confidence. And if a stray rock gets in your way, you won't get your thumb knocked off - the toe has a rubber reinforcement.
