The Randonnée is a versatile pack designed for performance on winter hikes and alpine crossings. Winter climbing is exciting and beautiful, but when climbing or backpacking, your body starts to sweat trying to lower the temperature. This can leave your back and shoulders drenched in sweat and at risk of overcooling, especially if the temperature drops or the wind blows during belays or descents. Our Contact Flow Fit support system provides a revolutionary solution to this problem. It can allow higher sweat per cm² than conventional constructions and reduces the temperature in the central back by 1.6°C after 15 minutes. This is possible due to the reduced contact area with the body and the built-in micro-ventilation system with 3D air channels, which allows more air flow to the rear. The result is extended comfort for long days in the mountains.

The Randonnée also has other clever solutions that make it the ideal backpack for winter. Its durable ROBIC® material is a special high-strength nylon that is 60% more tear-resistant than conventional nylon backpack materials and can withstand almost anything, from rocks to crampons to ice tools. The proven split shoulder strap system allows for greater arm mobility than conventional packs, a key feature when climbing with skis and skins or over climbing overhangs. This pack features functional details such as rope attachment, ice axe attachment and various ski attachment options (parallel and diagonal) that allow for quick attachment without having to remove the pack. There is also a fleece pocket to protect your glasses from scratches, a lid pocket, a separate side pocket for wet skins and a specific compartment for your shovel and probes.
